Davido has canceled his North American tour because of the Coronavirus outbreak.
The new coronavirus has already infected more than 125,000 people and killed more than 4,600 worldwide, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), forcing the agency to declare the outbreak pandemic.
The outbreak forced Davido to postpone his AGT tour in North America, which he embarked on to promote his album ‘A Good Time’.
The tour began on February 28 and was scheduled for April 11, with 22 shows in major cities in Canada and the United States, including New York and Atlanta.
The Skelewu singer had previously announced sold-out tickets in some major cities, including Vancouver, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
But while the world deals with the outbreak of the deadly virus, the singer was forced to announce the suspension of the tour indefinitely.
He took to Twitter to announce the sad suspension, citing the need to ensure the safety of his fans and staffs as a reason to stop the tour.
I’m sad to interrupt what has been a fantastic sold out tour so far, but delaying is the right thing to do. The health and safety of my fans and staffs is paramount and nothing else matters. Be safe and see you next time! God be with us all, ”he wrote.
