Borno state governor, Babagana Zulum, has break region and tribal barrier as he appoints two people from different states and tribes into his cabinet.
9jatoday understands that two non-indigenes have been appointed into the cabinet of Zulum in Borno State.
While speaking about the appointments of Mr. Kesta Ogualili from Anambra state and Yusuf Alao from Oyo state, Governor Zulum stated that the duo has lived in Borno state for years and that the two are professionals that were why they were appointed as special advisers.
It is a much-needed diversity in a state whose diversity has been stripped away by years of insurgency which made inhabitants from other parts of the country return home.
This media platform also learned that Mr. Ogualili hails from Dunukofia local government area of Anambra while Mr. Alao is from Ogbomosho local government area of Oyo.
Governor Zulum who was represented by Umar Kadafur, his deputy, during the swearing-in of the 26 appointees on Wednesday, noted that the two non-indigenes have been active in supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State.
9jatoday recalls that Governor Babagana had recently accused Military Personnel of collecting Bribe from travelers on Maiduguri Highway.
According to the Governor, the security men who are supposed to be the public watchdog were demanding that travelers on the highway pay a sum of N1000 for not having National Identity Card before they will allow them to pass on the road.
Governor Zulum made the furious accusation after he visited the Maiduguri-Damaturu highway, where he met thousands of travellers stranded because security officials manning the highway locked it down.
