About NECO
The National Examination Council which is popularly known as NECO is a widely accepted examination body for secondary school students. NECO was established in 1999 under the regime of General Abdusalam Abubakar.
Since then it has grown to be known nationally and internationally. It is known for conducting the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE). Like WAEC, these exams are conducted twice a year.
Apart from the SSCE, NECO also conducts the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) as well as the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
