According to a report monitored by 9jatoday on LIB, The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lost one of its member in Kogi State.
In a statement made available by the PDP state secretary of Kogi, Bode Ogunmola, the Vice Chairman of the Kogi state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Kola Ojo, has died.
9jatoday understands that the late Kola Ojo slumped and died while playing lawn tennis at the Sports Centre, Ogudu GRA, in Lagos state yesterday evening.
Late Ojo who was still in his 60s dies as he is been rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
Meanwhile, in other news, 9jatoday reported that Some unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits invaded a community in Niger State and kills four persons, kidnapped and Imam and 20 other residence.
According to a source, the suspected bandits carried out the attack in the early hour of Wednesday, killing four persons, abducted a Chief Imam and twenty others.
The source added that the gunmen in their numbers, were resisted in the first attack they carried out in Kudami, but they had fled to Beni where they successfully looted shops, houses and took away Mallam Umar Mohammed, the Chief Imam of Beni central mosque, who was on his way for a naming ceremony.
The District Head of Beni, Alhaji Jafaru Umar Sarki, who confirmed the attack to newsmen in an interview disclosed that the injured persons in the attack are currently receiving treatment at the Kafin Koro general hospital.
