The Median: The median salary is N626,000 per month. It means about 50% earn less than this amount while some others earn more than this amount. The median represents the middle salary value.

Experienced physiotherapist earns more because they earn more wage as their years of experience increase. A physiotherapist with less than two years of experience earns about N320,000 per month.

How to Become a Physiotherapist in Nigeria

To become a Physiotherapist, you have to be science-oriented at the secondary school level. You must have five credit passes in your core science subject including English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.

After scaling your O’level, you have to sit for jamb and your subject combination should be English, physics, chemistry, and biology. Once you pass your UTME, you’ll be admitted to the school of your choice to study Physiotherapy. The course is a 4-5 years course. Upon graduation, you’ll be awarded a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation or Bachelor of Physiotherapy.

To practice as a Physiotherapist in Nigeria, you must be licensed by the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Board of Nigeria (MRTB). Before they can practice they must have this license.
