9jatoday has been informed that an inferno had burnt to death a middle-aged lady in Nasarawa State on Wednesday morning.
According to the incident which was confirmed to the News Agency of Nigeria by a witness who pleaded to remain anonymous, the inferno which happened in Tudun Kauri, a community in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has claimed the life of a 30-year-old lady whose name was given as Nnena.
The source revealed that Nnena was burnt to death in a four-bedroom flat as a result of the uncontrollable fire.
He speaks further to say that the fire had resulted from an alleged electric surge which started when the AEDC restored a high voltage power to the area.
9jatoday understands that the fire has destroyed property worth millions of naira, as confirmed by the source.

Meanwhile, it was said that the men of the Fire Service were contacted and they were able to rescue the parents of the deceased who also were involved in the incident, through the window. Unfortunately, “the uncontrollable fire burnt Nnena to death”.
This media also learned that Nnena is already a University graduate.
Confirming the incident, Alhaji Dogara Dalhatu, the Chief Fire Officer in the state noted that the incident is true but said the cause of the inferno is yet to be ascertained.
“For now, we cannot say this is the immediate or remote cause of the fire. We are still working on that. A life was lost, simply because they did not tell us that there were people inside,” he said.
“Anytime we go for rescue operations during a fire outbreak, our first priority is to save lives.”
