BREAKING: Mallam Abba Kyari Is Dead

The Chief of Staff of President Muhammadu Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari has been pronounced dead.

A statement by the special adviser to the president on media and advertising, Femi Adesina, on Saturday morning, said that Kyari died on Friday.

It is recalled that Mallam Kyari tested positive for COVID-19 in March and was taken to Lagos for treatment.

Although the statement did not disclose where he died, he said the agreement for the burial of the late chief of staff would be announced shortly.

“The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.

“The deceased had tested positive for the devastating COVID-19 and was receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.

“May God accept his soul.

“Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly,” the statement said.
