Nigerians react to Pharmacy which sells hand sanitizer for a ridiculous amount in Lagos State following the outbreak of Coronavirus.
Nigerians have taken to the social media to lament over ridiculous increase on the selling price of hand sanitizer in Lagos State, following the outbreak of the Chinese Killer Disease, Coronavirus.
9jatoday understands that the reactions began after it was reported that a Pharmacy Med Mark in the state was reported on the internet by a social media users for selling hand sanitizer for N19,950 in the wake of the coronavirus disease in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, this news platform understands that there have been several complaints on the exorbitant increase in the price of hand sanitizers and masks since Nigeria Government announces the first case of Coronavirus in the country.
Pharmacies and Medical Stores have taken this as an opportunity to make huge sales as sanitizers and disposable face masks have been reported to be a safety measure against the killer virus.
Popular Nigerian Activist and Lawyer, Segun Awosanya, SEGA LINK popularly known on Twitter, took to his handle to share the of the hand sanitizer with the price tag and asked that they the Pharmacy be called out by his followers.
He posted; “Like? It’s just a difficult thing being truly Christian and a business person at the same time. Outrageous profits. I’ve been ranting in my status since. 500ml Enliven sanitizer that we use to bathe sef for free at work is 19k in medmark? We are our own enemies – Man! Pathetic.”
