Reports reaching 9ja news says many persons have been injured as a gas explosion occurred at Iju Ishaga, Lagos State on thursday.
Spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Agency(LASEMA), Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident. He said emergency responders are currently at the scene of the incident.
The official twitter handle of the agency also put out a tweet confirming the incident.

On the arrival of the Tiger Squad, Alausa Secretariet at the scene, it was discovered that there was a gas explosion at the aforementioned address.

“The impact of the explosion led to fire on adjoining buildings and several vehicles burnt. Several persons were injured and have been taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
“The inferno is being battled by the combined efforts of LASEMA Responders and Fire Team, LASG Fire Service, Nigeria Police Force and NSCDC. Dampening down ongoing.
