Atiku Abubakar’s Son Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Son to former vice president of Nigeria and the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 general election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has been found positive of the deadly pandemic.

The announcement was made on Sunday, March 22 by Atiku himself via his verified Twitter handle.

Reporting the case, Atiku noted that his son has been tested positive for coronavirus, codenamed (COVID-19) and has been rushed to the Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for proper treatment against the deadly virus.

He said, “My son has tested positive to coronavirus. @NCDCGov has been duly informed, and he has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management. I will appreciate it if you have him in your prayers. Stay safe, coronavirus is real. -AA”

Meanwhile, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has said on Saturday that Nigeria should not be taken into false security by the current low level of spread of coronavirus in the country.

He said that while we may not know now why it hasn’t affected us the way it has affected other nations, intense efforts must be made to help educate and raise public awareness about the virus and other problems.
