President Muhammadu Buhari’s chief of staff, Abba Kyari, tested positive for the coronavirus.
It is said that he possibly contracted the virus during a visit to Germany and Egypt for a meeting at the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission, which included the executive chairman, Prof. James Momoh.
CoS attended many meetings after returning from travel last week.
Kyari was said to have started coughing during a meeting on Sunday at Aso Rock, fueling speculation that he might have the virus.
His test result, which arrived Tuesday morning, confirmed it was positive.
President Muhammadu Buhari, who had to take the test, however, is negative.
