COVID-19: Osun Index Case Recovers, Gets Discharged

The Osun Index Case Recovers and the state government have just discharged the coronavirus index case in the state.

The patient was discharged after recovery after treatment at the isolation center of Hospital Especial Asubiaro in Osogbo, the state capital.

State governor Gboyega Oyetola announced this on Sunday at a press conference in Osogbo.

He added that 110 returnees from Côte d’Ivoire who were initially isolated on suspicion of COVID-19 were also released.

The governor said the returnees who tested positive were “under proper and adequate treatment at our service center and are all stable” and expressed the hope “that they will soon recover safely from the virus and be reunited with their families”.

Oyetola, therefore, asked for cooperation from people in the fight against the COVID-19 virus and also appealed for help from the Federal Government.

He also praised health professionals and security officers for their efforts and appreciated residents for complying with the policy of staying at home.
