English Premier League side player, Willian Borges da Silva, better known as Willian, who plays mostly as an attacking midfielder for Chelsea Football Club, has requested from the club to allow him to go back to his family amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

9jatoday understands that the Brazilian’s current deal with Chelsea will expire at the end of June, meanwhile, he has noted earlier that he would be willing to remain with ‘the Blues’ beyond that time.

Willian, however, is worried at the moment and all he asked for is be reunited with his wife and children.

“At the moment, I’m alone. My wife and daughters are in Brazil.”

“I had made a schedule before that. They went first, I was going to have a break and I was going too. Now, I’m checking here, if I have authorisation from the club,” said Willian in a chat with Globo SporTV.

It could be recalled that Nigerian football star, John Obi Mikel’s contract has been cut short following his alleged refusal to feature in a match due to fear of Coronavirus outbreak.

This online news platform learned that Mikel’s two year deal with the Trabzonspor has been terminated by mutual consent.
