EPL: Guardiola Reacts To Manchester Derby Clash
Manchester United on Sunday, March 8 has played against Manchester City at Old-Trafford in the English Premier League to win a home game with 2 goals.
The Derby clash on Sunday saw United to victory with Anthony Martial scoring an opening goal in the first half of the game, while a 96 minutes closing minute goal from Scott McTominay makes it a two-goal in the net of the guest.
Reacting to result of the match, Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has spoken to say that City were defeated because the players have failed to concentrate during the last quarter of the game.
Although they have good possession of the ball, they ultimately fell to their seventh defeat of the season.
In an interview with the Sky Sports after the Derby clash, Guardiola said: “It was a good game, we played good.”
“We missed a little bit in the first half when we were arriving in the final third, we needed to be more aggressive.
“We conceded a goal which we should have avoided and after five minutes they have one or two counter-attacks. The second half was good and it was a good performance.”
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Chelsea FC had defeated Everton FC to 4-0 in their clash on Sunday.
