Five More COVID-19 Patients Discharged In Lagos

Five more patients with coronavirus (COVID-19) were discharged in Lagos earlier today.

The State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced this in a series of tweets on his Twitter confirmed on Sunday.

“As we celebrate the sacrifice of love this Easter, I bring you more impressive news from our isolation facilities,” said the governor.

He explained that the patients – four women and one man – were discharged to reunite with their families and society after negative tests for coronavirus.

Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that, with newly discharged patients, a total of 55 people were successfully managed for COVID-19 in the state government isolation centers and discharged into the community.

“This news, especially on this important day, gives me joy and I am sure that it also does the same for you.

“While we wait for more great news of our effort to contain COVID-19, we will continue to do the right thing,” he added.

The governor asked residents to stay at home and continue to practice social distancing, in addition to observing the highest possible personal hygiene to contain the spread of the disease in the state.

He also asked them to report any suspicious cases that they would notice to the appropriate people for immediate action.
