9jatoday has been informed that the newly enthroned Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, have on Thursday, 20, February 2020, appointed four principal officers into his administration.
The development was made public in a statement by the Acting Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Daniel Alabrah.
The names and portfolio of the new appointees are given as follows; former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mr Friday Konbowei Benson to serve as Secretary to the State Government, while Chief Benson Agadaga will serve as Chief of Staff, Government House.
Others appointed also include Mr Peter Akpe as Deputy Chief of Staff and Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo as Principal Secretary to the governor.
Meanwhile, previously as reported by 9jatoday, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Adams Oshiomhole has stated that it is impossible for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to swear in the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Douye Diri on Friday as Bayelsa State Governor.
This media platform understands that Oshimhole made the statement following the Supreme court ruling which ruled out the candidate his party, David Lyon as unfit for the position after allegedly presenting a fake certificate of his running mate.
