In a bid to create job opportunities, improve agriculture and educational sector, Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello has come to an agreement with Saudi Prince to build a Niger State Silicon City.
In a report which was made available today, 9jatoday understands that Governor Bello got an invitation from Saudi Arabia Prince, Naif bin Abdullah bin Saud Al-Saud, to give details on new the establishment of a Silicon City in the state, which will grow the State economy and also bring about development in measure areas.
It was noted that Niger State is championing the creation of Digital Economy path through the establishment of Silicon City, which in return promised to drive the States Education sector, Industry and Agriculture, also create thousands of jobs opportunities for the youths through an active partnership with Star Silicon Valley of Saudi Arabia which is led by Prince Naif bn Abdallah bn Abdulazeez Asaud.
9jatoday learned that an agreement was reached between Governor Bello during the visit to at the palace of the Prince in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Governor Sani Bello was accompanied to the Saudi Arabi Prince Palace by the Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Balarabe Kagara, Honorable Commissioners for Finance, for Livestock and Tertiary Education, Honorable Member, Kontagora and House Chairman Committee on Agric and few stakeholders.
Meanwhile, 9jatoday reported earlier that Governor Abubakar Sani Bello awarded the contract of N24 billion for the reconstruction of Minna-Kateregi-Bida road which has been dilapidated for a while now.

- Contract sum: N24, 339,917, 789.85
- Contract Duration: 18 Months.
