INEC Postpones Elections in Lagos, Other States

The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has postponed the senatorial bye-election in Lagos and other states.

The decision to postpone the elections is following the ongoing #Endsars protest nationwide.

In a statement by its National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, INEC said the decision was taken after meeting with the 37 Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) on Thursday.

The 15 senatorial and state bye-elections was slated for October in 11 states.
