Lagos Set to Reopen Schools October 19
Public and private schools in Lagos state can now resume on Monday 19th October, 2020. The Lagos state Commissioner for Education made this announcement on Monday.
Reports on 9ja news says that Public and private schools in Lagos state can now resume on Monday 19th October, 2020. The Lagos state Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo made this announcement on Monday.
According to her, “the physical resumption, which is for the year 2020/2021 academic session, will now include pupils in pre-primary institutions such as daycare, kindergarten and nursery schools”.
The Commissioner noted that the decision “was taken after careful deliberations and consultations with relevant stakeholders, including safety professionals and nursery school providers”.
She also advised schools to adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines, she added that the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) will continue to monitor schools’ preparedness.
