Like the old cliche, ‘Nigeria is a country blessed with milk and honey’, and such is the correct definition of Nigeria when it comes to the issue of available mineral resources.

Ideally, this country is naturally blessed with lot of things that can sustain the country’s economy should we diversify from the crude oil for some moment.

What’s more, Nigeria has a rich and fertile land suitable for Agriculture too. Such is the kind of nation we found ourselves.

As blessed and fertile our land is, can we say we are utilizing and making money out of it as expected? Well, that is rhetoric.

To be highlighted below are however the list of the available mineral resources that can be found in n Nigeria.

However, it is necessary you note that this list cannot boost of having all the mineral resources in Nigeria, as some States may have some other minerals that may not be known to it here.

We shall, therefore, take it from one state to another stating the type of mineral resources they have and where the can be located.

In the Federal Capital Territory and its environs, there are numerous mineral resources there. But the few were are aware and very sure of are:

– Marble;

– Tantalite;

– Clay;

– Cassiterite;

– Gold;

– Lead and Zinc; and

– Dolomite.

The next on the list is Abia State. Abia state is also a land full of mineral resources that contribute to the National revenue of this dear country.

Part of these mineral resources are as follows:

– Limestone;

– Gold;

– Salt;

– Lead/Zinc; and

-Crude Oil.

Adamawa State is also a home of mineral resources. And of course, the people of this state also enjoy farming too. Some of the Available Mineral resources there are:

– Kaolin;

– Bentonite;

– Gypsum; and

– Magnesite.

There is some part of this state that has huge mineral resources too. Of course, Akwa Ion State is also trying when it comes to National revenue contribution.

Some of the mineral resources that can be found in this region are:

– Lead / Zinc;

– Clay;

– Limestone;

– Uranium;

– Salt; and

– Lignite.

Anambra State is also said to have natural resources in some part of it region. They have much mineral resources with the mighty crude oil this State.

Among these resources are:

– Lead;

– Clay;

– Limestone;

– Iron-Ore;

– Lignite (not officially announced);

– Salt;

– Glass-Sand;

– Phosphate;

– Gypsum; and

-Crude Oil.

Although Bayelsa may be the is the smallest or least population State in Nige:e mineral resources too.

Some of which includes:

– Clay;

– Limestone;

– Gypsum;

– Uranium;

– Manganese;

– Lignite; and

– Lead/Zinc.

The following mineral resources can be found in Bauchi and some part of it is provinces.

– Amethyst;

– Gypsum;

– Lead/Zinc (not too many); and

– Uranium (which is under investigation)

There are numerous mineral resources in Benue State and it should be on record that the people of this State are farmers too.

Some of this resources are;

– Lead/Zinc;

– Limestone;

– Iron-Ore;

– Coal;

– Clay;

– Marble;

– Salt;

– Barytes (few traces);

– Gemstones; and

– Gypsum.

In Borno state, we have the following natural resources:

– Diatomite;

– Clay;

– Limestone;

– Hydro-carbon (oil and gas which is under investigation);

– Gypsum;

– Kaolin; and

– Bentonite.

The following natural resources can be found in Cross River State:

– Limestone;

– Uranium;

– Manganese;

– Lignite;

– Lead/Zinc;

– Salt; and

-Crude Oil.

Delta State can also boost of having the following mineral resources:

– Marble;

– Glass Sand;

– Gypsum;

– Lignite;

– Iron-Ore; and

– Kaolin.

In Ebonyi State, below are the few mineral resources that made up the state:

– Lead;

– Gold shocked; and

– Salt

We have the below-listed resources in Edo state.

– Marble;

– Lignite;

– Clay;

– Limestone;

– Iron Ore;

– Gypsum;

– Glass-sand;

– Gold;

– Dolomite Phosphate;

– Bitumen; and

-Crude Oil

Some part of Ekiti State has:

– Kaolin;

– Feldspar;

– Tatium;

– Granite;

– Syenite.

Though not much, Enugu state is proud to have:

– Coal;

– Limestone;

– Lead/Zinc.

Though very little, you can found these two minerals in Gombe.

– Gemstone; and

– Gypsum.

Also, in Imo State, these minerals are common in the States provinces.

– Salt; and

-Crude Oil.

The only official mineral in Jigawa is:

– Barytes.

One of the States that has higher numbers of resources in Nigeria is Kaduna State. In Kaduna, you can find;

– Sapphire;

– Kaoline;

– Gold;

– Clay;

– Serpentinite;

– Asbestos;

– Amethyst;

– Kyanite;

– Graphite;

– Selenite;

– Mica (just traces);

– Aquamarine;

– Ruby;

However, the above are all the 36 States we have in Nigeria and the respectful resources that could be found there.
