Operation Amotekun – VP Osinbajo in a closed-door meeting with South-West Governors:
Reports reaching 9jatoday at this time affirms that Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, is holding a crucial meeting with South-West governors at the presidential villa in Abuja.
The purpose of the meeting was not made public but there are insinuations that the meeting is set up to discuss the issue of establishment of ‘Operation Amotekun’ which was set-out by the South-West governors.

According to the report, Mohammed Adamu, Inspector-General of police is also in attendance.
9jatoday also recalls that Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation, in a statement before now has described the security outfit ‘Operation Amotekun’ established by the South-west governors as an illegal outfit.
However, the governors have reiterated that ‘Operation Amotekun’ has come to stay.
Meanwhile, this media has reported that following court ruling on Monday, President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a congratulatory message to all his party members (APC) who won in the court case.
9jatoday understands that President Buhari’s message was coming a few hours after the All Progressives Congress (APC) members won in their respective states following Supreme Court judgements that upheld the elections of the governors; Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and Simon Lalong of Plateau State.
