The Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong has directed all public and private primary and secondary schools to reopen across the State from 30th October 2020.
According to this directive, schools are to resume academic activities for 3rd term and ensure strict adherence to the guidelines issued by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 for the safety of students and teachers.
School management are to ensure that the school environment is cleaned, fumigated and re-arranged in preparation for resumption.
Not only that, heads of public and private schools with huge population are advised to consider staggered school attendance in order to ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols relating to social distancing.
Tertiary institutions in the state are yet to resume, however, arrangements are ongoing to facilitate its resumption.
