Police Arrest Notorious Robber, Cele in Delta, Recover Deadly Weapons

It has been revealed to newsmen on Thursday, March 19 that a notorious robber was arrested by a team of policemen in Delta State.

According to the report which was confirmed by the Delta State Police Commissioner, Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa, a notorious armed robber was arrested in Ekpan, a community in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.

Some sophisticated weapons were also recovered from the suspect, 9jatoday learnt.

CP Inuwa while speaking on a telephone with news Correspondent in Warri said, “We arrested someone with AK47, Ak49 with 150 rounds of ammunition in Ekpan area.”

When questioned if the suspect will be charged to Court, Inuwa said, “If he does not go to Court, who will go to Court?”.

The culprit whose name was revealed as Philip Mike Mishan (a.k.a, Cele) and his gang members were said to be responsible for the killings of some policemen as well as getting away with their service rifles in Warri and Effurun.

9jatoday understands that Mike was also linked to some crimes related to house robbery, trailing of bank customers, among other crimes.

Meanwhile, it was reported that Mike had escaped from the police custody back in 2018 and relocated to his village, Ozoro, a Community in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

However, following his arrest, a team of detectives are currently on trail of other gang members, most especially their leader who is identified as Sylvester Usobotie.
