Some political thugs reportedly razed down venue meant to be used by APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
9jatoday has been informed that the appointed place for a political rally in Auchi, Etsako West LGA, Edo State, which is said to be used by Adams Oshiomhole, was totally disrupted by the angry mobs who set ablaze cars, tents and chairs.
According to reports, the All Progressive Party had organised the rally to welcome some defectors from another party into the APC.
The incident reportedly occurred around 2:00 am on Saturday morning, where the thugs allegedly burnt two cars, over 1000 chairs, canopies and the stage.
A source disclosed to newsmen that the thugs arrived the venue shooting sporadically and send away people around, then carried out the damages thereafter.
However, Alhaji Abubakar Akokhia, the factional Chairman of APC in the LGA, insisted that the rally would still hold despite how the thugs ravaged the venue.
This media platform also understands that security personnel have been deployed to avoid any further occurrence.
Meanwhile, 9jatoday had reported earlier that the Chairman of governors forum who also is Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, leads a team of the Governors in regards to ‘Operation Amotekun’ to Aso Rock Villa on Friday in Abuja.
Rotimi Akerodolu (SAN), who led the governors on Friday on the meeting with Osinbajo, to discuss on the establishment of ‘Operation Amotekun’ said governours of the South-West will soon meet with President Muhammadu Buhari, to further explain their intentions of the establishment of the security group.
He further stated that their meeting was rescheduled because some of its members had travelled abroad, and that also President Muhammadu Buhari is also out of the country for another crucial meeting.
