According to the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, candidates seeking to study in any school of Nursing in Nigeria must possess a senior secondary school certificate. With five credits in subjects including English, Mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and not more than two sittings.

Post Basic Midwifery Programme (RM)
To register for any post-basic midwifery program in any school of Nursing, the candidate must;

- Meet all the Midwifery School requirements
Duration of Study is 1 year
License Obtained: Registered Midwife (RM)
Post Basic Psychiatric Nursing Programme
Similar to the Post Basic Midwifery program, the Candidate must;
- Be A Registered Nurse
- Meet all the requirements to be admitted to any of the Psychiatry Nursing school
Duration of Study is 1 year
License Obtained: Registered Psychiatry Nurse (RPN)
Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree Programme (B. N.sc)
Candidates applying to study for this program should possess;
- Five Credit in SSCE or other Examinations which includes English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics. It must not be more than two sittings.
