Early Life and Family Background

Sylvester Madu who was born on the 11th of January in 1975 hails from Anambra State in the southeastern part of Nigeria. He was the first child out of a family of 12.

Slyvester attended his primary and secondary schools in Anambra state. He later proceeded to the University of Maiduguri in Borno State where he obtained his bachelor’s degree.

Career

After completing his tertiary education, Slyvester Madu joins the Nollywood industry after participating in different auditions and screenings. He joined the Nollywood industry in 1988 after which he started getting different roles in many movies.

Out of all the roles Slyvester Madu has been offered, acting like a tough hitman, militant, hired killer and other rough roles stand out.

He became popular for his ability to handle guns and interpret such roles well. He has worked with a lot of actors and actresses during the period of his career. Some of these include Zubby Michael, Tonto Dikeh, Ernest Asuzu, Jim Iyke, Emma Ehumadu, and so many others.

Sylvester Madu acted in over 120 movies before he quit to become a full-time pastor at the Parish of Christ Embassy Church. He is currently a devoted pastor at one of the church branches that is located at Eric Moore road in Surulere, Lagos State.
