UN Secretary General Condemns Attack in Lagos
The Secretary General of the United Nations condemns violent attacks in Lagos state which has led to the loss of many lives and casualties.
The Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres has condemned the violent attacks in Lagos state which has led to the loss of many lives and casualties.
Gutterres took to twitter to register his displeasure on the recent attacks.
His tweet reads “I condemn the escalation of violence in Lagos, Nigeria, which has resulted in multiple deaths & injuries”.
He also called on demonstrators to be peaceful while also lending his voice that police brutality be stopped. He added that investigations should be carried out.
“I call for demonstrations to be peaceful and for an end to reported police brutality & abuses. Authorities must investigate these incidents & hold perpetrators accountable”.
