9jatoday has been informed that a fire outbreak which cause is yet to be known has razed down shops in Kano State.
In the statement which was established to be true by the Public Relations Officer, of Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Saidu Mohammed, about thirteen shops reportedly caught up with fire.
9jatoday understands that eleven of the shop are reportedly temporary while the other two are permanent, all in a one-storey building.
According to the report which was made available to the NAN on Thursday, the incident had happened at Singer Market, along Ado Bayero road, in Kano at about 4:00 am.
Speaking about the incident, Alhaji Saidu reveals that the fire service was reached on phone with an unsettled call in the early hours of Thursday from one Mubarak Umar, who notify them of the inferno.
“On receiving the information, we quickly sent our personnel and fire fighting vehicles to the scene of the incident at about 04:03 a.m to put off the fire spreading to other shops,“ said Saidu.
He, however, advised the traders in the market to shun the use of gadgets that could result in causing a fire outbreak, adding that keeping fire buckets, blankets and extinguishers at home and shops will help in stopping fire outbreak before causing damages, or even before the arrival of the fire service on scenes of fire outbreaks.
