Controversial Nigerian monarch, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi has made an unbelievable pledge in a now-viral video which has got Nigerians talking on social media platforms.
The Oluwo of Iwo land who sometimes ago was charged to court for allegedly hitting another monarch with a punch during a meeting made a shocking declaration by asking God to inflict him with the current global pandemic, Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Speaking in the Yoruba language, the monarch reveals that God had asked him to make the move and he is asking now that the virus come upon him leave the whole nations.
He said“Wherever the disease is, I am not the king, you (God) is the king and you are the creator of all diseases and well-being, I said, all the virus by the power vested in me, let the virus come and attack me,”
“You have asked me to take this step and I have yielded to your instructions,” Oluwo of Iwo added.

In another news, 9jatoday reported that Famfa Oil Limited Chairman Modupe Folorunsho Alakija has pledged N1 billion Naira to help the federal government fight COVID-19 in the country.
The development was announced in a statement signed by the management of Famfa Oil and released on Sunday, March 29.
Famfa Oli praised the efforts of the federal and state governments to combat the pandemic in Nigeria and urged all Nigerians to follow the stipulated health guidelines.
