Kano Confirms Two COVID-19 Death

Kano State government, following the report by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC)on Wednesday, April 29, has affirmed to the death of two persons in the state with COVID-19 related case.

The state Ministry of Health confirmed this in a tweet on its microblogging site account Thursday morning.

9jatoday understands that Kano State now has a total of 139 cases of Coronavirus disease, with the newly 24 confirmed cases credited to the state by the NCDC on Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, a popular monarch in the South-West region of Nigeria, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, said on Wednesday that a local cure would be offered soon to end the coronavirus.

Ooni spoke at the office of the governor at Oke – Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun state, while delivering two modular motorized fumigators to Governor Dapo Abiodun as his donation to the Ogun state government in support of his battle against the spread of COVID – 19 in the state.
