Nigeria’s Index Case Tests Negative For Coronavirus

Nigeria’s first confirmed case of Covid-19, an Italian on a business trip, has now tested negative for the virus, the Lagos state government said on Thursday.

The Italian has been quarantined and receiving treatment since it was discovered that he had contracted the virus in late February.

The news of his recovery was announced by Lagos state health commissioner, Professor Akin Abayomi, during a press conference.

Abayomi said the Italian will be released after another negative result.

Meanwhile another 4 positive cases has been discovered in Lagos State.
