Former Vice President and 2019 presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has sent wishes to congratulate Chief Emeka Anyaoku, GCVO, CFR, CON, on his 87th birthday.
9jatoday understands that Chief Anyaoku was the third Commonwealth Secretary-General within the period of 1990 to 2000.

In other news, this media has reported that Two journalists, a cameraman with the Channels TV and another from a renowned Television Station in Nigeria have been assaulted in a gathering in Benue state by Policemen.
9jatoday have been informed of a team of policemen who assaulted a cameraman working with the Channels Tv and a colleague from another Tv station for allegedly covering an event unlawfully.
Mr Michael Umele, Channels Tv cameraman was said to have received multiple slaps by security operatives attached to B Police Division in Benue State.
Upon reaching the event centre where some Tiv Youth Organisation in Makurdi, were holding a programme, the security operatives after slapping Umele seized his camera and that of his colleague from another television station.
It was said that while Umele and his colleague were trying to explain to the DPO that they are a journalist, one of the policemen started slapping Umele and forcefully seized his camera and that of his colleague.
Reacting to the incident, the Commissioner of Police in Benue, Mr Mohammed Mukadas, said that the Tiv Youth Organisation had no approval to convene any form of gathering.
