The National Examination Council (NECO) announced the postponement of the 2020 common entrance exam in 104 Unity schools because of Covid -19.
The Head of Information and Public Relations Division for NECO, Azeez Sani, made the announcement in a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja.
The exam was scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2020.
However, the examining body has announced that registration for the exam continues.
The statement says: “The National Examination Council (NECO) wishes to inform all relevant candidates, Guardians and Stakeholders of the indefinite postponement of the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) 2020 at the Federal Faculties of the Union, previously scheduled for Saturday 28 March 2020.
“This decision is a deference to the various measures being taken by the federal and state governments to reduce the possible spread of the coronavirus (COV1D-19).
“NECO’s management regrets any inconvenience that the postponement may have caused to our esteemed candidates and other interested parties. A new date for the exam will be communicated to candidates and
other interested parties in due course. “
