The federal government announced five new cases of coronavirus disease in the country, in addition to the three existing cases. With development, Nigeria now has eight confirmed cases of the disease.
The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, at a press conference in Abuja, about updating the disease in the country, said that all new five cases had a history of travel to and from the United Kingdom, United Kingdom and the United States of America, USA.
“We ask Nigerians to remain calm, as public health response activities are intensified across the country,” he said. The center also wrote on Twitter that “A detailed history of each case is being compiled and contact tracking has started. Our National Emergency Operations Center is supporting the response in the states. The federal government through @Fmohnigeria is conducting an assessment to initiate other relevant measures “@Fmohnigeria, through the NCDC, will continue to provide accurate updates and will take the necessary steps to protect the health of Nigerians.
