Following rumours and insinuations concerning the victory of newly sworn-in Governor of Bayelsa State, Diri Douye, the controversial, popular Nigerian Catholic Priest and also the head of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has spoken up to clear the air on the claims that he had prophecy on the victory of the governor.
9jatoday recalls that barely 24 hours to swearing the former governor of Bayelsa State, David Lyon, the Supreme Court sacked him and his deputy, Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo.
This media reported that Justice Mary Peter-Odili, in-charge of the ruling sacked Lyon for presenting a running mate with a fake certificate in the November 16, 2019 governorship election in the state.
A few hours later, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented the Certificate of return to Senator Douye Diri and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.
Reacting to Douye’s victory rumours, Ike Maximus Ugwuoke, Fr. Mbaka’s media aide, debunked the saying that the clergyman had prophecy on Diri’s victory.
It was understood that Ike made the declaration of the truth in a statement in Enugu, on Monday, February 17.
The statement read thus;
“Our attention has been drawn to a report in a section of the media that the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Fr. Mbaka has prophesied that the newly sworn-in Governor of Bayelsa State, Diri Douye, will stay in office as governor for only two months.
“The report alleged that he predicted this in ‘Delta State at a ceremony to celebrate his friend and colleague who clocked 68 years.’
“For the sake of justice and fairness, we challenge the originators of this false and mendacious report to mention the name of the so-called Fr. Mbaka’s friend and colleague whose ceremony he attended in Delta State.
