How To Transfer Airtime From MTN To Other Networks
Being the biggest telecommunication company in Nigeria, MTN has much more improved network strength and covers the whole of Nigeria, there must be a need for transfer of airtime because people use MTN most.
To make the transfer of airtime credit from MTN to other networks the company has made available some guides for you to transfer airtime to any of the major networks as long as you have enough airtime credit on your account.
Not that alone, of cause you can transfer from MTN to MTN even from your bank accounts as long as the MTN number is attached to your bank account.
As an MTN subscriber, you can share airtime from your phone number to others b dialing the simple codes we will provide in this section of the post. Though some restrictions are in place to ensure subscribers don’t abuse the service.
The transaction should not be more than N10,000 on a daily basis.
It must be in the units of Naira and not in Kobo, e.g You can send N50 but can’t send N50.23.
The transferrable amount ranges from N50 to N10,000.
If you are comfortable with these terms then you are good to go, what’s next to do is to create your MTN share and sell security code; the code will enable you to make share n sell transactions and at the same time protect you from fraudsters.
Now, think of a simple security code that you won’t forget. Your code must be 4 digits and shouldn’t be a code that can be guessed, eg. 0000 or 1234, your code should be complex like this 7283 to make it hard for fraudsters.
After that, send the new code to 777 in this format; “the default pin, followed by repeating the new pin twice, for example; 0000 7283 7283”, then send it to 777 and wait for confirmation.
Alternatively, You can also dial *600*0000*7283*7283#, where 7283 is your new pin.
After getting a confirmation message then you have successfully subscribed to the MTN share n sell service, and you will be able to do some transactions like making a transfer to another MTN network or other networks.
How To Transfer Airtime From AIRTEL To Other Networks
Just like the first network we talked about, Airtel comes with a similar process for you to be able to transfer airtime credit.
You need to create a four digits pin code first, whether you are transferring from Airtel to Airtel or from Airtel to other networks.
You don’t want to share your pin with other people, it is confidential to you alone, normally Airtel gives a default pin of 1234.
For you to be able to make any airtime transfer, you need to change the default pin to any pin of your choice, we advise you don’t use an easy to guess digits like 1234 or 0000 as most fraudster knows you are likely to use that code, and they can take advantage of that if somehow they have access to your phone or sim card.
To change the default pin, kindly send a message to 432, check below;
Send “PIN Old-PIN New-PIN” eg. PIN 1234 5793. This simply means you want to change the default pin which is 1234 to 5793.
PIN 1234 5793, to 432.
Once sent, then you are now eligible and can transfer airtime credit to any network you wish be it MTN, ETISALAT/9Mobile, or GLO.
Use the code to make a transfer from Airtel to other networks; you need to send an SMS to 432, this time, in a different format as follows; 2U+ Receiver’s Phone Number + Amount +Transfer PIN.
Ensure you have it in this exact order with spaces separating each element.
E.g.; supposing you want to send 500 Naira to a GLO number right from your Airtel number, simply send; 2U 0805xxxxxx1 500 5793, to 432. 5793 is your transfer PIN.
Note: You can also use this method to transfer airtime from Airtel to Airtel.
How To Transfer Airtime From Etisalat/9Mobile to other networks
From the other networks, we have talked about you should notice one thing in common with them which is the fact that you need to change your default transfer pin, Etisalat’s own won’t in any way be an exception.
Etisalat default transfer pin is 0000, of which you are expected to change it to your preferred pin, an easy-to-remember pin but not a guessable one.
For you to change your 9Mobile default transfer pin you have to follow this exact format; dial *247* Old Pin*New Pin#.
Let us say you want to change the default pin which is 0000 to 3098 just dial the code below;
*247*0000*3098# and press send.
Once that is done you can now transfer airtime credit from your Etisalat/9Mobile sim to any network of your choice.
We have two methods in which you can transfer airtime on Etisalat; you can dial *200# and follow the message prompt from your screen.
E.g. Dial *200# and select option 1, and sub-option 4; which read; “To transfer credit”. You will be presented with a line to fill, here you need to type 1*PIN*Amount* phone number#.
The second method of transferring airtime credit from 9Mobile is the USSD method. Just dial; *223*PIN*Amount*Phone Number#. That’s all
How To Transfer Airtime On GLO to other Networks
Globacom Nigeria ltd is the leading indigenous Nigerian-owned telecommunication company that has been available for some years now without financial issues or operational problems. Glo has a huge customer base with mouthwatering packages that attract customers.
Because of the huge customer base of Glo Mobile, it is necessary we write about Glo transfer methods.
The Glo Pin method is quite different from the rest, though you also need to change your transfer pin. Glo has a 5 digit default airtime transfer pin and the transfer service is called the GLO EasyShare subscription bundle.
To change your Glo EasyShare PIN, *132*00000*98035*98035#, where 00000 is your default PIN and 98035 is your new PIN.
