A few hours after Kano State Government dethroned Muhammadu Sanusi ll as the Emir of Kano, reports reaching 9jatoday at this time have confirmed that Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s has appointed another icon to take over the seat.
This was coming after 9jatoday reported that a team of security agents raided the palace of the Emir of Kano on Monday to whisk away Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II who was dethroned by Kano State Government.
It was reported that Sanusi was taken by security team including men of the Nigerian Police and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) to an undisclosed place in Nasarawa State where he will spend the rest of his life in an asylum.
However, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, the Emir of Bichi, has been appointed to replace the dethroned Sanusi as the new emir of Kano.
This was disclosed in an announcement by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji on Monday evening.
Reacting to the new ruler, Usman stated that “Aminu Bayero’s appointment was in line with the provision of Kano state Emirate Council Law 2019. “Section 11 (1) of the Law has empowered the governor to appointment Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the emir of Kano”.
