About YABATECH

YABA College of Technology which is popularly referred to as YABATECH is one of the pioneer polytechnics in South-Western Nigeria. The higher institution which was established in 1947 is located physically in Yaba, Lagos.

It is one of the few polytechnics that offer Bachelor’s degrees in some courses in Nigeria. YABATECH is duly recognized by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and the National Universities Commission (NUC).

YABATECH Courses Requirements for Admission

To qualify for admission in any of the above-mentioned courses in YABATECH, Candidates must choose the school in JAMB and possess the following;

• Have at least 5 credits in Mathematics, English Language, and other subjects depending on courses of choice. This must be in WAEC, NECO, or any other recognized examination bodies with a maximum of 2 sittings.

• Be 16 years old or more as at the time of booking admitted

• Obtain up to the necessary UTME score deemed fit by the school as well as participate in the school screening (for National Diploma Candidates)

• Have completed ND program in any accredited polytechnics with 1 year of Industrial training experience.
