9jatoday has reported earlier of a drama that occurred with President Muhammadu Buhari in Kebbi State on Thursday, a former presidential aide under Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, Reno Omokri has reacted to the event which saw the president and some other dignitaries in fear.
In the now-viral video, the middle-aged man attempted to get close to President Buhari in a strange manner but was restricted by security men and dignitaries standing by, 9jatoday report.
On the contrary to reports of the incident, Special Adviser on Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina said that the president was not attacked as reported.
Backing his claims, Femi reports that: “Buhari went around the arena to inspect rice pyramids on display, and take photographs with farmers, a young man was so very excited to see his president so close.”
“He made an attempt to get to him. World over, such would not be allowed by security details. The young man was prevented, and he protested that he should be allowed to greet his President.“
However, reacting to the alleged attack, Reno Omokri took to his Twitter page to note that the incident was an evident that Nigerians are suffering and are not happy with Buhari’s administration.
He wrote; “I thank God for sparing the life of General Buhari today in Argungu, Kebbi state but let this attack wake him up to the fact that Nigerians are not happy.
“Too much suffering in the land, traceable to his maladministration and incompetence. Nevertheless, I don’t wish him death.”
