Osun: Oluwo Of Iwo Suspended For 6 Months Over Brutality

Following the call and agitation by Nigerians, for a disciplinary measure over Oluwo of Iwo for inflicting injury on another monarch, the Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers in a sitting headed by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi suspends Oluwo for good six months.

Recall that Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi a few days ago pounced on another monarch, the Agbowu of Ogbaagba, Oba Sikrulahi during a meeting.

An act that sparked reaction among Nigerians which led to many calling Oluwo all sort of names.

Oluwo’s suspension was announced on Friday, 21st February during the meeting which hosts all traditional rulers in Osun state and Others in the South-West.

However, a report has been set up by the council for more investigation while the monarch is serving his six-months suspension.
