The popular Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur, Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known on stage has Mr. Eazi has made a shocking revelation during an interview he had on Joy FM with OAP George Quaye that he has no single car of his own.

Mr Eazi came into limelight in 2014. Born in Portharcourt into the family of entrepreneurs. He started his music career has a school choir before he left Nigeria for Ghana to continue his education. He returned back to Nigeria after his study as an entrepreneur and a fast rising musician.

If you can recall, Mr. Eazi has been known and felt in the music industry for some years now and he has many hit songs recorded to his name. Not only that, he has been nominated for and won several categories of awards both in Nigeria and in other parts of Africa.

Similarly, Mr. Eazi won the Headies Next rated award in 2016, a fit the big guns in the Nigerian music industry have all won in the past. The Leg over proponent also has many other awards and among them is the ‘Special Recognition Award Music Video Africa’ from  ‘Whatsup TV Africa Music Video Awards’ and the likes, all these depicting how okay and gallant he his.

Also, he has in his awards gallery, ‘Most Promising Act to Watch’ which he won in 2016 at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. During the interview with OAP George Quaye on Joy FM, Mr Eazi was asked if he has a car of his own. Here is his response:

“No, I still don’t have a car. This is because all year round I’m not stationed in one place. Today, I’m in this country playing shows, tomorrow, I’m somewhere else. It doesn’t make any sense for me to buy a car and just pack it, and so no, I still don’t have a car”.

What makes this to sound weird is that, the way and manner at which musicians love to buy, ride and flaunt exotic cars are jaw-dropping, but it seems the Leg Over crooner himself doesn’t belong to this category. Should I say he his humble?

What’s more, during the interview, the one time Nigerian Next Rated artist further maintained that most people out there do not give much respect to musicians again and creativity as a whole. But he believes that things will soon turn around to the way it is used to be before.

In his words, “People don’t really respect the creative arts as an industry but I think with time the narrative is changing”. However, the reason canvassed by him for not having a car of his own is reasonable but not too genuine judging by his personality as a celebrity.

It is over to you guys.
