Gunmen Abduct Three Nursing Mother in Kaduna State:

Reports reaching 9jatoday at this time confirmed that some yet to identified gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted three women in a community in Kaduna State.

According to the report by a resident of Karaukarau village, a community in the Giwa Local Government Area of the state where the incident took place, the bandits, fully armed invaded the community on the noon hour of Tuesday, April 14.

The source revealed that the bandits arrived at a wedding ceremony in the Karaukarau village and kidnapped 13 women.

“You know the curfew imposed as a result of the coronavirus has shortened food supplies for the bandits, which is why they now attack wedding venues and such gatherings,” said the source while reporting to newsmen.

He added, “So, on Tuesday, the hoodlums stormed the venue and took 13 women, but the villagers mobilised and confronted the bandits and rescued 10 women, while three nursing mothers were abducted.”

9jatoday, however, understands that the three women as at the time of filing this report are still with the bandits.

Meanwhile, the state Police spokesman, ASP Mohammed Jalige said he was yet to receive any information as regards the occurrence.
