Afropop frontman David Davido Adeleke has announced that the proceeds from his recent music video, Dolce & Gabbana, will be directed to a coronavirus research program.
In a recent interview with CNN, Davido said he will donate the profits from the newly released music video to Dolce & Gabbana and Humanitas Together to the Coronavirus Research fund.
The video, released on Friday, April 24, with the album “A Good Time”, with Summer Walker, is aimed at strengthening efforts towards scientific research that benefits global health.
Davido also noted that the effect of the virus in Nigeria led his family to donate $ 1.3 million to the federal government and also distributed more than 6,000 bags of rice across Osun state.
Speaking about the effect of the coronavirus, Davido said: “People are really going through a difficult time. This is the first time that something like this has paused the whole world. Many people out here make money day by day, how to survive the day to day payment. This is not possible because we all have to stay inside. “
