BREAKING: Three of Kyari’s Staff Test Positive for COVID-19

Three staffs of the president’s CSO (chief of staff), Abba Kyari, reportedly tested positive for the new coronavirus (COVID-19).

A presidential source confirmed the development.

Efforts to reach presidential spokesmen to confirm most developments at the State House on Tuesday were unsuccessful, as neither the Special Adviser nor the Senior Special Assistant to the President of Media and Advertising, Femi Adesina and Mallam Garba Shehu, respectively, were seen inside the premises.

However, when Mallam Shehu arrived earlier in the day, he did not answer the call, but responded to a cell phone text message sent to him, saying “sorry, I can’t speak now”.

Meanwhile, a presidential source, who sought anonymity, confirmed that all people suspected of having been exposed to the president’s chief of staff were advised to isolate themselves.

He added that the board may be responsible for why many people who were expected to be at work were unavailable, adding that the recommended self-isolation had started in earnest.

In the meantime, most aides in the vice president’s ward, with the exception of the media adviser, did not show up.

A source said the vice president reported working late Monday afternoon, unlike him.

It should be noted that the State House is on a gradual lockdown as no essential staff has been asked to stay home.
