BREAKING: CBN Office Gutted by Fire in Plateau

The Jos branch of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Plateau State was destroyed by fire.

CBN confirmed the incident in a Tweet on Tuesday.

“Minor fire outbreak at the Jos branch of the central bank of Nigeria, promptly contained today, April 21, 2020,” tweeted the apex bank.

This increases the number of fires that have hit major government offices in the country in recent days.

Earlier this month, there was a fire at Treasury House, a building that housed the General Accountant of the Federation office, exactly a week after another fire outbreak at the headquarters of the Corporate Affairs Committee (CAC), while the Commission office Independent National Electoral Commission’s in Abuja was also destroyed by fire a few days later.
