Personal Registration

For Engineers

To apply you must possess either of the following qualifications

  • Engineering certificate from a reputable institution whether B.Eng, B.Tech, B.sc, or any equivalent certificate

Technologists/Technicians

Engineering technologists and technicians are expected to possess some of the following qualifications below

Engineering Craftsmen

Craftsmen are expected to have the following qualifications

  • O’level result including passes in Technical subject (WAEC/NABTEB)
  • Trade Test
  • Craft Certificate from City & Guild

Corporate Registration

There is an allowance to register organizations and companies under COREN as long as the necessary registration requirements are met. Whether sole proprietorship, partnership, or private limited liability company, you can register under COREN with the following requirements.

Below are some other requirements for COREN registration for corporate businesses

a) For the Sole-Proprietorship business, below are the documents to be submitted

  • Corporate Affairs form 2
  • Brochure of the firm
  • Curriculum Vitae of owner
  • Payment of an application processing fee
  • Corporate Affairs Form CAC 10 (Annual Returns)
  • Completed COREN Firm Application Form

b) For Partnership business, the documents to be submitted for COREN registration are;

  • Corporate Affairs Commission Form 2 (Form of application for registration)

c) For Limited Liability Company, the documents to be submitted include;

  • Copy of Corporate Affairs Commission Certificate of Incorporation of company
  • A certified true copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the company
  • Certified true Copy of CAC Form C07
  • A certified true copy of CAC Form CO2
  • Copy of current Tax Clearance Certificate
  • Copy of VAT Registration Certificate
  • Copy of PENCOM Registration Certificate
  • Company’s Profile/Brochure of the company
  • Detailed Curriculum Vitae of Partners/Directors endorsed by Proposers who must be ACEN members and up to date in the payment of practicing fees.

  • List of Office Furniture/Equipment owned/available to the firm
  • List of office facilities and computer/CAD equipment resources owned/available to the firm
  • List of specialty software owned/available to the firm
  • List of ACEN/COREN or other equivalent training courses attended in the last 2 years (attach copies of Certificates of Attendance)
  • List of current Codes of Practice, Design Standards, and Specifications owned
  • A name type of Contract Formats that your Firm has and uses (ICE, NEC, FIDIC, JCT, etc)

  • Visit www.coren.gov.ng/download/category/12-others to download the Proposer and Work Experience Forms before you start filling out the application form online. You will need to upload it with other documents during the registration process. as this is a requirement among the documents to be uploaded during the registration process.   • Visit the COREN registration portal at www.portal.coren.gov.ng/account/register to get started
