Coronavirus: Ogun Shut Down Lafarge, Quarantines 28 Over Killer Disease

9jatoday has been informed that Ogun State Government, under the leadership of its governor, Dapo Abiodun, has closed down LAFARGE in Ewekoro, after the state recorded its first case of Chinese killer disease.

This was coming hours after it was reported that Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city recorded the first case of the deadly virus, COVID-19 popularly known as CORONAVIRUS.

This online news platform understands as confirmed by the minister of health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, on Friday morning that the killer virus had entered into the country through an Italian citizen who works in Nigeria and just returned from Milan, Italy on the 25th of February 2020.

However, Governor Dapo in a statement on Friday noon, reports that 28 people who had contact with the Italian victim who was said to have visited the state have been identified and quarantined to avoid further spread.

The governor also assured that its administration is doing all it can to identify more contacts and put an end to the spread of the deadly virus.
