Council Chairman Hospitalized Rescued From Political Thugs In Oyo

Merciless thugs have finally released a local government chairman who was abducted for hours but gets him hospitalized.

According to a report made available to newsmen, the Chairman of Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State, Samuel Aderemi, who was abducted by some political thugs has been hospitalized after his release, 9jatoday understands.

It could be recalled that Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde in 2019 sacked some local government chairmen and  Aderemi happens to be one of them.

9jatoday understands that the political thugs had stormed the council’s secretariat to halt Aderemi and some members of the All Progressives Congress councillors from resuming their duty, and thereby abducted him in the disruption.

He was taken to an unknown destination, without torture for two hours, but unfortunately was hospitalised after he was been rescued a few hours later by security agents.

Meanwhile, 9jatoday had reported that Borno state governor, Babagana Zulum, has break region and tribal barrier as he appoints two people from different states and tribes into his cabinet.

The two non-indigenes have been appointed into the cabinet of Zulum in Borno State as reported in a statement.

Speaking about the appointments of Mr Kesta Ogualili from Anambra state and Yusuf Alao from Oyo state, Governor Zulum stated that the duo has lived in Borno state for years and that the two are professionals that were why they were appointed as special advisers.
