Lassa Fever virus has resurfaced in Kaduna State, leaving one dead after efforts my personnel.
9jatoday learnt that the man had died in the state of Lassa Fever Virus, following test result on him which reads positive.
It was reported that a group of medical doctors made an effort to rescue him, but that he later died after all medications and vaccines proved abortive.
Reacting to the incident, the Kaduna State Commissioner for health, Amina Baloni disclosed to newsmen that members of the family of the victim and seven others are now under observation and going through a lot of tests to ascertain that they have not been infected by the same virus.
According to the commissioner, they will be observed for a period of two weeks to be sure of the result.
In another news, 9jatoday had reported that a community in Kaduna State was reportedly attacked by unknown gunmen on Saturday, kidnapping a whole family excluding the husband.
The report which was made available on Saturday reveals that the gunmen attacked a community in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State called Juji.
A source disclosed that the gunmen in their numbers approached the house of a popular medical doctor, abducted his wife, children, as well as his security guards on Saturday morning.
It further stated that the gunmen had attacked the community about 10 pm on Friday night where they engaged in the exchange of gunshots with a team of Nigerian Policemen for over six hours.
